Overview Delivery Drivers will perform functions to assist the MBTA (Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority) Warehousing & Logistics Support contract. Responsibilities Shall perform a variety of delivery driver duties, to include, but not limited to the following: + Shall be licensed in accordance with local, state, or federal laws + Shall possess the basic knowledge and skills required to operate required vehicle + Material must be picked up at or delivered to the correct destination in a timely manner + Responsible for the successful and accurate completion of all MANCON required logs and safety checks, daily + Verifying materials against receiving, shipping, storage and inventory documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and damage + Routing materials to prescribed storage, freight forward and/or shipping and receipt locations + Storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed shipping methods + Process and/or affix, shipment, pick/pack and other paperwork and reports as required + Operates hand or power trucks and/or forklift in performing truck loading, unloading and delivery of material. + Deliveries are typically within the local area and include, but are not limited to emergency and scheduled overnight deliveries. + Inspect vehicles for safety prior to operation + Other duties as assigned Qualifications + Driver's License + Ability to obtain and maintain a Forklift License + DOT Medical Card Preferred Qualifications + CDL Driver's License + 2 Years Commercial Driving Experience + 2 Years Forklift Operation Experience + 2 Years Commercial/Government Warehouse Experience + High School Diploma or GED + COVID-19 Vaccination Physical Requirements Heavy work - Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds or force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
