The Headlines: 
In the role of Delivery Driver – Training working in Denver, CO you will be part of the Delivery team.

 

The purpose of this position is to train and develop the skills and competency required to become a Class A CDL Delivery Driver for Coors Distributing Company. During the first few months of employment, you will work with our internal Driver Trainers to learn how to safely and efficiently deliver Beer cases and kegs to retail accounts from a variety of commercial delivery vehicles.

 

The position pay rate starts at $25.00 an hour (during training); once class A license is obtained, then pay is raised to $30.00 an hour. 

 

This position reports to Delivery Supervisor and works closely with our Warehouse and Sales Operational teams.

 

The Responsibilities:

Present a professional attitude and appearance when interacting with retailers and internal partners, building strong working relationships Complete the assigned route with in a safe, accurate, efficient, and timely manner in varying weather conditions & challenging environments (stairs, curbs, docks, tight parking lots, etc.) Responsible for completing assigned delivery route via non-CDL vehicle until Class A License is obtained Once permit/license are obtained, you will learn how to safely drive a tractor trailer (pre-trip, post-trip, DOT rules/regulations, etc.) Learn how to execute quality of service in each account: rotation of product, stocking shelves, building displays, and organizing products You will be expected to obtain a Class A CDL Permit prior to your first day of employment & a Class A License within the first 90 days of employment (failure to do so may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment) Drive time will be provided with a licensed Class A driver to support and build the skills to help prepare for the Class A CDL test

 

The Other Qualifications: 

You must be at least 21 years of age and with a valid high school diploma or GED You must have your Class A permit prior to your first day of employment You understand the importance that your assigned truck has the proper inventory before leaving and returning to the warehouse, you and your trainer are accountable for all products and/or checks associated with inventory You must be physically capable of handling and delivering between 500 and 1,000 30 lb. cases every day and capable of lifting up 165 lbs on a daily basis Position is subject to varying start times/days and all work must be completed daily (i.e. no set end time) You will learn and follow all DOT pre/post trip procedures, as well as learn how to safely drive a Tractor Trailer. (Drive Test must be passes within 90 days of your hire date.) As part of the recruitment process, the candidates will be required to provide consent to complete a criminal background check
