As a Delivery Manager at Nelnet Bank, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of software development and other initiatives. You will bridge the gap between engineering, product, and business teams, streamlining processes, improving project visibility, and enhancing collaboration. This role is hands-on, requiring technical knowledge, stakeholder management, and a proactive approach to delivery challenges.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Project & Initiative Delivery: Oversee the full lifecycle of software development projects and other initiatives, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery within scope and budget.
· Process Improvement: Clean up and optimize our project tracking tools (Jira or others), improving visibility, efficiency, and reporting.
· Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as the primary liaison between engineering, product, compliance, and external partners, translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
· Risk & Issue Management: Identify delivery risks, proactively remove blockers, and drive resolution strategies.
· Quality Assurance: Partner with engineering and QA teams to uphold high technical and delivery standards.
· Change Management: Adapt project plans and technical roadmaps to evolving business priorities while maintaining delivery integrity.
**Pay Range for this range is - $130,000k - $150,000
EDUCATION:
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
EXPERIENCE:
· Experience: 5+ years in project/delivery management roles within software development or engineering teams.
· Technical Fluency: Background in engineering or strong understanding of software development methodologies, cloud-based architectures, and Agile practices.
· Project Management Skills: Experience with Jira, Asana, or similar tools. Agile/Scrum or PMP certification is a plus but not required.
· Communication & Leadership: Ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment and clarity.
· Problem-Solving Mindset: Proactive, adaptable, and able to bring fresh perspectives to team challenges.
