Delivery Team Leader - High Voltage

Ventia’s Sydney Water High Voltage Contract provides specialised High Voltage operations and maintenance to Sydney Water’s vast array of critical High Voltage assets – ranging in voltage between 3.3kV and 33kV. We’re hiring a Delivery Team Leader to manage a team of technicians and engineers to deliver high quality HV maintenance services to our client.

About the role:

This role will provide pro-active service for our client Sydney Water and the three Regional Delivery Consortia (RDC’s) who provide Electrical and Mechanical services to Sydney Water across their three regional Sydney areas - North, West and South. 

You may be required to travel anywhere in Sydney Water’s area of operation – which stretches from Warriewood in the north, Mount Victoria in the west and Shellharbour in the south. 

 

You'll be required to:

Assign tasks, monitor team performance, and ensure efficient use of resources Ensure that all work is performed to the highest safety standards and in compliance with regulatory requirements Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance activities, minimizing downtime and ensuring system reliability Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, including lock-out/tag-out procedures, personal protective equipment (PPE), and high-voltage safety standards Lead risk assessments and method statements (RAMS), and ensure safe working practices are always followed Collaborate with other departments or stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation Handle urgent maintenance requests, including managing emergency repairs and outages Provide technical guidance and support to the team on complex issues, troubleshooting, and fault diagnosis in HV systems Resolve any customer issues or complaints promptly and professionally Planning of monthly High Voltage preventative maintenance work Maintaining timesheets and training records for the whole team

 

What we are looking for:

Ideally, you’ll possess the following experience in, however we are open to training you in high voltage if you are a licensed electrician.

 

Strong knowledge of high-voltage electrical systems, equipment, and maintenance procedures Proven experience in leading and managing teams, with the ability to motivate and develop staff In-depth understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations, especially related to high-voltage systems Ability to diagnose and solve complex electrical issues quickly and efficiently Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients, team members, and management Experience managing maintenance projects, including scheduling, resource allocation, and budget management Hold a current driver’s licence
