The Space, Defence and Intelligence business unit in CGI is a true IT Systems Integrator. We are seeking a skilled and passionate Delphi Software Developer to join our dynamic development team. In this role, you will play a critical part in the design, development, and maintenance of our software products, primarily focusing on legacy systems and integrating new features.
As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, contributing to both back-end and front-end development. Your expertise in Delphi will be essential in optimising our existing applications and ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance and usability.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and Maintain: Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Delphi applications.
• System Integration: Work on integrating Delphi applications with modern systems and technologies.
• Code Optimisation: Optimise existing codebases to improve performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and fix bugs and provide ongoing support for legacy systems.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver software solutions that meet business needs.
• Documentation: Maintain clear and concise documentation of code and system architecture.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Delphi, with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming. Familiarity with databases (e.g., SQL) and experience with PowerShell is a plus as well as CI/CD pipelines and DevOps principles.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with excellent communication skills.
• Adaptability: Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing project requirements.
