Job Title: Demand Planner

Job Description

As a Demand Planner, you will be responsible for managing ERP and Demand Planning Software. You will initiate weekly and monthly reports to determine product demand, eliminate shortages due to seasonal items, and diagnose inventory accuracy with the stores in the warehouse. You will work with Line of Business leaders, vendors, and historical data to develop the best statistical forecast and implement S&OP at the product family level. Additionally, you will create a separation between SKUs that require a base statistical resupply model and those that require more manual input.

ResponsibilitiesManage ERP and Demand Planning Software.Initiate weekly and monthly reports to determine product demand.Eliminate shortages due to seasonal items.Diagnose inventory accuracy with the stores in the warehouse.Work with Line of Business leaders, vendors, and historical data to develop the best statistical forecast.Implement S&OP at the product family level.Create separation between SKUs that require a base statistical resupply model and those that require more manual input.Manage vendor performance relevant to line(s) of business, including lead time, delivery accuracy, percentage of delivery on first receipt, freight, order pack quantity, transfer pack quantity, and AP/PO variance.Optimize the balance of system data, forecasting, lead time, and other demand drivers to assure inventory is aligned with demand.Provide input and resupply models to buyers to build purchase patterns, supply & resupply methods, and monitor line performance.Conduct inventory optimization and SKU rationalization by analyzing cost and demand needs to provide profitable inventory assortment.Manage redistribution of good inventory in wrong locations and identify if relocation is the most profitable method of close out.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related area, or equivalent experienceExperience in distribution environment is a plusExperience training others on the use of purchasing systemsExperience with Blueridge forecasting or Mincron ERP systems is a plus!Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.84 - $32.69
