Demand Planner

Cardinal Health Canada, with over 1300 employees nationwide, is an essential link in the Canadian healthcare supply chain, providing over 70,000 products to healthcare facilities and medical professionals across the country.

We are looking for positive and team-oriented individual to join our dynamic Supply Chain team in Vaughan. Your primary responsibilities are to utilize analysis, systems, and tools, to devise robust demand plans that achieve forecasting targets and support supply chain targets, while staying within strict parameters such as budget and supply chain process or schedule constraints for the Distribution business. Develop ad-hoc analysis and reports, and effectively present and communicate results, risks and opportunities in S&OP/E forum to drive decision making and accountability. Anticipate stakeholder needs and develop and discuss potential solutions to prevent impact to customers.

Your role will be critical in enabling improved revenue and cash flow attainment, inventory optimization, and the S&OP process for the region.

Your Contributions to the Organization will be:

Application of extensive knowledge of demand planning and forecasting processes, theories, processes, and best practices

In-depth knowledge of multiple statistical forecasting models, forecast accuracy, and forecast bias, at both individual widget and aggregate planning levels

Can analyze sales trends to make recommendations for forward-looking forecast

Intermediate understand of seasonality indexing, regression analysis, and ability to differentiate manual planning versus planning by exception

Experience with S&OP cycle, particularly Demand Consensus, where applicant can gather data, analyze trends, and share recommendations with the cross-functional teams

Can clearly articulate the differences between a statistical forecast and final forecast

Identifying areas of forecast risk and improvement opportunities for assigned category

Engaging with supply planning to support production planning, ensure better inventory planning, and regional service level

Liaise with production, Kinaxis COE, marketing, sales and operations teams when necessary

Aptitude to learn technical applications quickly

Understanding of supply planning, net requirements, manufacturing best practices

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related field preferred

3+ years’ experience in demand/supply/ inventory planning

Experience with S&OP/E process, particularly Demand Consensus, where applicant can gather data, analyze trends, and share recommendations with the cross-functional teams highly desired

APICS CSCP, CPIM, or IBF certification preferred

Experience with Tableau, SAP S4/Hanna, and Kinaxis Rapid Response highly desired

Strong Excel skills with advanced formula utilization highly desired

Strong analytical, organizational, decision-making skills strongly preferred
