Demand Planner

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Minimum of 2-year Related Experience.

Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Degree in Supply Chain, Math, or Business Administration.

 

Essential Functions: 

The Demand Planner / Business Analyst (Min/Max Focus) is responsible for creating and maintainingaccurate demand forecast and managing Min/Max inventory levels.  They will pioneer new processes for Global Supply Chain.  

Specific Responsibilities Include: 

Forecasting  Develop and refine a demand forecast using historical data and statistical techniques  Establish production rates at our factories to balance service levels and inventory  Review Min/Max thresholds against usage; work through account managers to engage customers   Data Analysis  Analyze demand patterns and customer data; identify outliers or trends and recommend different forecasting models  Analyze excess inventory and work with internal sales to sell through other channels  Proactively suggest process improvements to enhance forecast reliability and decrease our risk of excess inventory  SIOP   Contribute to our SIOP process by providing demand forecasts  Work with site planners to level load the demand forecast  Present recommendations for increasing capacity where you see demand exceeding supply capabilities  Preferred Skills:  Statistical Analysis and experience with tools like Minitab, MATLab, or equivalent  Advanced experience with Excel  Strong analytical experience  Some SQL or programming experience  APICs certification  Lean Six Sigma  Essential Functions  Collaborate with Sales and Production teams to optimize our production plans  Assist in developing methodologies, tools, and processes to manage new projects  Improve processes for generating and managing complex models, financial data, and reports  Enhance quality of planning tools to improve inventory control and turns  Generate and analyze customer daily and weekly reports, i.e.: Inventory, Demand/Consumption, Min & Max inventory levels, Supply/Manufacturing Backlog, and Lead-time.   Generate and analyze Key Performance Indicators, inventory, and shipping/financial data.  Extract and prepare data from multiple databases to support contract and customer evaluations.   Prepare and analyze data for monthly Operation Reviews.
