Johnson Service Group (JSG) is currently looking for a Demand Planner to analyze and take ownership of a rolling forecast to ensure we are producing the correct products in the correct amounts in the correct period. The demand planner position will have a close relationship with sales, procurement, and operations This is a contract opportunity with a food manufacturing facility  located in Philadelphia PA.

Pay $35/hour

Demand Planning       Monthly partnership with Sales and Customers to update forecast. Track customer’s promotional activities within the forecast. Inventory management of all floor stock customers, including defining production requirements to maintain targeted inventory levels. Support monthly manufacturing S&OP cycle, including: Own KPI review for measuring production demand forecast performance relative to actual orders, budget, and model. Contribute to S&OP meeting prep by analyzing and identifying insights in the forecast. Assist and support production planning with prioritizing customer demand and needs. Compile and relay monthly production demand forecast / production results to other departments. Support trial process as liaison between production planning team and commercialization team
Supply Chain Analytics & Reporting Own, with Sales and R&D, our active item list, including adding New Item and cleansing discontinued items Identify and mitigate poor performing areas within service.  Will encompass items with low Right First Time (RFT) performance, short lead-time customers, poor on-time lanes, etc. Assist and support CS group for customer requests. (Common requests are production results / Forecast Accuracy / OTIF calculations)
Education Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering Ability to work and challenge cross-functionally 1-5 years supply chain experience / preferably in a manufacturing/production-based setting SAP
Analytical Skills Able to integrate data from multiple sources and identify insights and trends Effective communicator:  Ability to compile data into a concise story to align organization priority and direction Excellent in MS Excel (complex formulas, pivot tables, charts, formatting)
