Demand Planner II

As\n a Demand Planner II here at Honeywell, you will be accountable for managing\n demand and asset planning in a manufacturing environment for Honeywell\n Aerospace Technologies (AT). You will play a key role in driving demand and\n asset planning within our vibrant manufacturing environment. Your primary\n responsibility is to ensure the development of a high-quality demand forecast\n critical for supply planning and financial forecasting. As you guide the\n demand planning team, your role is instrumental in meeting customer\n requirements and aligning with operational business objectives. You will\n report directly to our Sr Demand Planning Manager, and you’ll work out of our\n Monterrey, Mexico location on a Hybrid work schedule.

The position reports to the Demand Planning org supporting all AT businesses.\n The Demand Planning team is responsible for collecting data, collect forecast\n information from business leads and preparing forecast in support of the\n Sales and Operation Planning (S&OP) process across the CBT’s.

This role will be responsible for providing inputs to the Short-Range outlook\n (SRO) by reviewing and understanding site build plans (MPS), shipment data,\n product run rates and the demand plans (though all avenues) for selected\n Sites; reconciling actual usage to the planned unconstrained demand forecast\n monthly, and gathering, analyzing and recommending changes to existing plans\n based on findings.

KEY\n RESPONSIBILITIES

 
• Improve forecast accuracy into the SRO by implementing and leading\n processes to collect data, analyze trends, and prepare forecasts, utilizing\n Rapid Response or other appropriate planning tool in support of the Sales,\n Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) process, working closely with\n Finance to ensure commonality in process, data and expectations. 
• \n Team with site and demand teams to ensure solid development and deployment of\n a robust process to capture historical data from direct OE, Spares and\n R&O sites to capture upcoming business initiatives to improve the\n forecast accuracy and provide the Unconstrained Demand Plan (UDP) to the\n integrated supply chain. 
• \n Identify and analyze Site Run Rates and Shipments, Month v Month, Year v\n Year, YTD trends, and aggregate into a single set of outputs. 
• \n Analysis will include OEM, Spares and Repair and Overhaul shipments. 
• \n Provide direction on forecasting method (CBO, market driven, dependent,\n leading indicators, etc.) and factors to include in the forecasting\n process. 
• \n Document assumptions used and validate throughout SIOP process. 
• \n Assure integration with SIOP process to compare the unconstrained demand\n forecast with aggregate supply constraints and understand the impact to\n customer and financial commitments (AOP). 
• \n Measure demand plan v supply plans and determine root cause of gaps or\n performance to plan and recommend changes/improvements. 
• \n Ensure collaboration between ISC (Sites) and Demand Management (SBU/CBTs) to\n understand internal and external factors that may impact the forecast. 
• \n Provide a closed loop process that integrates supply capability with demand/finance\n plans. 
• \n Participate in CDP reviews in support of the SIOP Management Operation System\n (MOS) which includes aggregating the unconstrained demand forecast, comparing\n supply plan at all the Honeywell sites, and determining course of action to\n manage both supply and demand. 
• \n Participate and recommend actions to improve Finished Goods Inventory\n optimization. 
• \n Ability to drive SIOP vision and collaboration into the Site/ CBT extended\n team. 
• \n Strong bias for action and ability to make informed decisions in a complex\n environment and drive execution via indirect leadership. 
• \n Strong collaboration within SBUs and functions Demand Mgmt., ISC, Finance and\n CBT’s to ensure common tools & processes are implemented 
• \n Develop collaborative processes to collect data, analyze trends, and create\n long term product line/site forecasts. 
• \n High level of interaction with Material Planning and Procurement (MPP),\n Integrated Supply Chain (ISC), Tools and OEM Demand Team members, Platform\n Leaders/Directors, Sales, SBU finance.

 


YOU MUST HAVE

 
• Bachelor’s Degree from an Accredited University in Engineering, Business or Supply Chain or 2+ years’ experience in Supply Chain and/or Demand Planning functions. 
•  Excellent English communication skills, written and spoken.   
• Experience managing complex data analysis
• Strong knowledge of demand planning principles, methodologies, and tools
• Familiarity with demand planning software and systems
• Advanced MS Office skills with proficiency in Excel
•  Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.

•  Able to be effective in working with a variety of Program Managers and Platform Leaders in balancing customer demands in accordance with established ISC process controls.
