Demand Planner - Medical Device

Johnson Service Group, is looking to hire a Demand Planner for a privately held commercial medical device company in San Diego.
This role is Direct Hire | Onsite | The salary range for this position is between $85K - $105K, based on experience.
Position Summary:
The Demand Planner combines data analytics with planning and managing materials from warehouse receipt through delivery to the customer. Responsible for ensur operational data is accurate, timely, and efficiently transacted. They are an expert in ERP, MRP, and regulatory compliance, focusing on continuous improvement in demand planning, purchasing, inventory management, and data accuracy. The role requires strong analytical, reporting, and computer skills, enabling informed, data-driven decisions throughout the company.
Essential Functions: Planning: Aggregate product demand and set system demand forecasts. Prepare demand vs. inventory scenarios. Identify and manage aging work orders and production issues. Oversee production scheduling and enhance visibility.? Introduce tools like capacity planning. Inventory Management: Ensure inventory accuracy. Manage excess, obsolete, and scrap materials. Develop warehouse strategies. Manage ERP part master data. Handle sterilized/expiration date-limited products. Maintain material product history in the ERP System. ERP System Expertise:? Act as an ERP System Subject Matter Expert. Provide system training and resolve discrepancies. Expand ERP functionality. Support audits with ERP System information. Perform ERP transactions. Document processes with the Finance team. Analysis & Reporting: Capture data for metrics analysis. Prepare and present reports for decision-making. Continuous Improvement: Introduce and coach lean best practices. Manage continuous improvement events. Resolve inefficiencies. Education/Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or a technical degree with ERP and MRP experience 6+ years of ERP and MRP system administration in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry Ability to thrive in a small to medium-sized early-stage commercial business environment. #D800
