Demand Planning Lead - Champion Petfood

In this key role, you’ll create a best-in-class rolling demand plan that supports better business decision-making.

You’ll collaborate closely with the sales account team, supply planning, activity management, regional distributors, and portfolio management within Champion.

This role focuses on driving demand planning for the integrated business in Australia while also leading the crafting and aggregation of demand planning of local markets within the APAC region.

What will be your key responsibilities?

Lead monthly demand consensus reviews with sales account managers to align baselines, promotional forecasts, and actual performance.Aggregate and manage the APAC regional demand plan through coordination with regional distributors.Review and update the opportunities, risks, and assumptions register regularly.Ensure the demand plan provides an accurate view of demand, eliminating bias.Maintain the integrity and accuracy of system data to required standards.Improve forecast accuracy and address bias trends through root cause analysis within the assigned territory.Represent demand planning in activity meetings and ensure the integrity of NPD forecasting.Drive S&OP discipline and accountability within the sales account team.Manage short-term supply gaps to balance demand and supply within the category.Contribute to long-term planning and strategy development for the category.Deliver demand planning initiatives and projects aligned with the Champion Australia five-year strategy.

What are we looking for?

Proven experience which could include supply/production scheduling/operations planning, demand planning & forecasting, and salesPrior experience working with a vendor or retailor in a similar function or setting.Proficiency in using forecasting systems and toolsDemonstrated strong quantitative and analytical experience using Excel, Powerpoint, PowerBI and other computer applicationsDemonstrated experience of delivering effective presentation using qualitative and quantitative data to influence leadership behaviours and decisions
