You will oversee demand planning activities for your assigned product families in your business unit. You will also lead the demand review process and driving interactions with the cross-functional teams.

How you will contribute

You will:

Lead the demand management agenda for the category, being the key interface between commercial (sales revenue planning) and supply (replenishment) to identify and evaluate the impact of potential availability issues/commercial changes including gap assessment and risk and opportunity discussionsPartner with modelling team for the generation of statistical forecastingManage, coach and develop a teamReview standard consumption versus forecast at the customer and total product levels, liaising with replenishment and sales revenue planning to manage potential availability issues and the impact of under consumptionDrive strong linkages with the commercial, customer collaboration, modelling, order fulfilment teams and supply planning including innovation and equityDrive continuous capability building in the demand planning team for planning improvement

More about this role

Maintains working knowledge of end-to-end supply chain components including forecasting, inventory management including at customer’s end, promotional planning and sensitivity analysis, customer inventory, master data management, item lifecycle and transition management, seasonal planning, DC operations, store ordering and operations, agile supply planning and order fulfilment​

Joint Business Forecasting and Planning with Omni (MT, E-com, Q-com) accounts. ​

Liaison with Product Marketing relating to New Product forecasting, including updating Planning Tools with current projections​

Knowledge of SAP APO/IBP/O9 or similar forecasting system preferred, as well as TMS systems​

Use and maintain the Demand Planning AI/ML models as the primary forecasting system tool​

Work with both Marketing, Channel and Sales on SKU level transition plan, track execution and call out risk and drive agreement when off-track​

Manage portfolio productivity with Marketing by target setting and driving necessary action​

Lead coordination efforts with operations, product management, finance, customer service, for product families within the business​

Develops multiple metrics to validate forecasting accuracy, as per industry standards and communicates corrective action(s) ensures timely resolution​

Work with sales, marketing, and customer Service to analyse and shape demand forecast drivers​

Education / Certifications:

Minimum qualification is Bachelors with relevant experience. ​

Candidates with MBA in operations and certification in Demand Planning will be preferred.​

Job specific requirements:

Min 8 years ' work experience in demand forecasting, big data modelling, analytics in FMCG sector ​

Skilled in effectively translating mathematical information into business-friendly language​

Knowledge in causal modelling and time series techniques​

Knowledge in integrated supply chain systems​

Must possess business acumen relating to vision and purpose, strategic thinking and problem solving, and creative/innovative mindset​

Must be customer and market driven​

Candidates with experience working in Omni channels (Modern Trade, E-commerce, Quick commerce) will be preferred. ​
