Demand Planning Manager

Position Summary: The Demand Planning Manager position plays a key role in the success of Regal Rexnord’s Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) for the Industrial Powertrain Solutions (IPS) segment ($2.7M). The position is responsible for overseeing forecasting practices, methods of forecasting demand, ensuring the proper signals are passed to supply and operations teams, and monitoring forecast accuracy to drive forecasting improvements. The individual for this role should be highly analytical with strong communication skills and collaborative leadership approach to coordinate across the organization. The position also holds responsibilities for governing the forecasting tools, overseeing improvements of SIOP analytics, and driving identified improvements across the business segment.

Responsibilities

Deploy advanced demand planning techniques to provide accurate demand forecasts in order to ensure desired stocking levels and drive customer service performance.Develop and monitor analytical reporting to identify shifts in demand trends, analyze forecast accuracy and downstream impacts to inventory health and service performance.Assess performance of current planning tools and define opportunity areas to further leverage tool capability and enhance statistical models.Collaborate across various functions – Product Management, Network Optimization, Sales, and Commercial Operations to capture necessary inputs to the forecasted demand plan.Coordinate with key Sales teams and external customers to integrate customer forecasts into demand plan and strategically define roadmap for enhancing customer collaborative forecasting practices.Establish forecasting dashboards and demand visualizations to support consensus demand plan, identify demand trends and analyze forecast performance.Demonstrate strong leadership traitsDemonstrate cross-functional supply chain knowledge to provide overall supply guidance to other functional areas (Inventory Management, Materials Management, Operations, Warehousing & Distribution)
 

Qualifications

BS in Supply Chain Management, Business, or Analytics.  MBA and or PMP certification are both a plusMinimum 8 years of supply chain experience with key focus on forecasting concepts and techniquesStrong analytical skills and ability to apply basic statistical conceptsAbility to lead through influence and communicate across diverse group of stakeholdersExperience with end-to-end supply chain planning tools and forecasting systemsFamiliar with a variety of the manufacturing concepts, practices, proceduresDemonstrated ability to analyze, resolve problems and convert data into actionable solutionsExperience with tools such as Microsoft Project, Office, SharePoint, ERP (SAP/Oracle), Planning Tools (Demantra), and Analytical Dashboards (Power BI)Knowledge of lean tools and mindset to drive for continuous improvement
