Summary: ITT Goulds Pumps is currently seeking a Demand Planning Manager for our Seneca Falls, NY facility. This functional subject matter expert will work cross functionally to develop and drive the inventory strategy plan to ensure optimal inventory levels and optimal cost. The suitable candidate will have a meaningful impact on the company’s future!
The Demand Planning Manager will be balancing the purchase and production of items that are manufactured with meeting our customer need for improved lead time. This will require improvements in inventory management processes; improvements in our organizational wide forecast processes; and improvements in the material and communication flow between supply chain and subcontracted suppliers.
In the role of Demand Planning Manager, you’ll work closely within the Operations department leadership team, as well as counterparts in Purchasing, Global Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, Product Management and Sales to ensure we’re thinking of solutions that benefit our customers and ITT Goulds Pumps equally.
This position offers a hybrid schedule of 3 days working in the office in Seneca Falls, NY and 2 days working from home after the initial training period.
Essential Responsibilities Spearheads the development of the capacity management process, including identification of capacity gaps to ensure successful execution of customer demands in support of SIOP.Work cross functionally to establish an inventory plan to support market lead time, variability by optimizing working capitalWork with buyers, planners, product management, and global supply chain to develop an inventory strat plan/plan for every partMonitor forecasts and quotas to identify changes or to determine their effect on supply chain/inventory activities.Analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste, or optimize customer service.Set up special programs: KanBan, pull systems, global warehousing and consignment etc.Evaluate usage and variabilityLead, manage, and execute supplier conversions after the sourcing team identifies a new supplierParticipate in the coordination of engineering changes, product line extensions, or new product launches to ensure orderly and timely transitions in material or production flow.Facilitate the elimination of excess and obsolete inventory Position Requirements Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or engineering is preferred; Associate's degree and equivalent experience is required.5+ years of relevant supply chain and inventory management experience working with low volume high mix product implementing inventory management strategies in support of customer demand fulfillment2-3 years management experience required Strong knowledge of lean management systems and impact on inventory management is required APICS CPIM certification is preferred Experience working in a lean management system and coaching team membersTactical systems experience including ERP systems and MS office (must be highly skilled in Excel to connect and/or consolidate data through pivot tables, charting data, and able to create compound and complex formulas.) Ability to analyze data from various MS Office tools Highly organized and able develop inventory strategy plans Able to analyze product hierarchies and extract data from bills of materialsThis position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
