Demand Planning Senior Analyst

We achieve growth through the development of innovative new products and services, including lighting, lighting controls, building management solutions, and location-aware applications. **Job Summary** Responsible for demand planning and related duties including supporting the Demand Planning Director and Sales Channel Leader in developing a 24-month rolling Demand Plan. Enhance existing 12-24 month forecasting processes through strategic system integration, validation frameworks, and value-added analytics. Analyzing historical sales customer POS patterns, sales driving strategies to interpret the future forecast future demand accurately, while eliminating bias from Demand Plans. Collaborate with Sales, Supply Finance, and Customer Service to determine assumptions, product life cycle management and promotional activities. Analyzes actual shipments for alignment with approved demand plans and notifies the Demand Planning Manager when a gap appears to be developing. Success means improving forecast and product mix accuracy on key customers and provide sales leadership insight to future headwinds and tailwinds to the business. **Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)** Forecasting & Demand Planning + Collaborate with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to align forecasts with business objectives and promotions. + Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for key retail customers by analyzing historical data, market trends, and POS patterns. + Continuously refine forecast methodologies and integrate customer-specific insights to improve precision. + Monitor forecast performance metrics (e.g., MAPE, bias) and implement corrective actions to address gaps. Customer Data Analysis & Insights + Analyze customer POS data to identify sales trends, seasonal patterns and emerging demand shifts. + Provide regular reports and presentations to sales leadership, highlighting risks, opportunities, and actionable recommendations. + Work closely with customers to understand their planning cycles and integrate their forecasts into the company’s demand planning process. System Utilization & Process Optimization + Become an expert in the company’s new demand planning system and drive its adoption across the division. + Train and guide stakeholders on system capabilities and ensure accurate data inputs and outputs. + Identify opportunities to enhance planning processes and tools, implementing best practices for efficiency and accuracy. **.** Cross Functional Collaboration + Partner with sales teams to align forecasts and ensure they reflect on customer projects, promotion and inventory strategies. + Collaborate with supply chain teams to ensure adequate inventory levels and minimize stockouts or overages. + Act as a bridge between retail customers and internal teams, fostering strong relationships and ensuring alignment on business goals. Risks & Opportunity + Partner with sales teams to align forecasts and ensure they reflect on customer projects, promotion and inventory strategies. + Collaborate with supply chain teams to ensure adequate inventory levels and minimize stockouts or overages. + Act as a bridge between retail customers and internal teams, fostering strong relationships and ensuring alignment on business goals. **Skills and Minimum Experience Required** + BS/BA degree – in supply chain management, logistics or business administration, or a related field. + Experience in fast paced retail environments. Manufacturing experience a plus. + Proficient in demand planning methodologies, statistical forecasting, and inventory management principles. + Excellent financial acumen and ability to ad hoc analyze/manipulate large data sets. + Experience in OTB and conducting OTB presentations. + Excellent communication and time management skills. + Experience with statistical forecasting software is highly desirable. Advanced MS Excel skills. + Excellent stakeholder management skills. + Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Sales, Marketing, or Logistics, or one year with MBA + Excellent interpersonal skills, strong organizational skills and detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy. \#LI-AP1 We value diversity and are an equal opportunity employer.
