Demand Response Coordinator I, II, III, or Senior
**Job Description:** Responsible for effectively managing a subset of Tri-State’s demand response programs to achieve program and portfolio objectives. Work with stakeholders, providing information, conducting outreach, researching and developing policies and programs to support demand response strategic initiatives. Provides administrative guidance and support to internal and external stakeholders on demand response programs. **Note:** There is one position available and the position will be filled at one of four job grade levels: Demand Response Coordinator I, job grade 7; Demand Response Coordinator II, job grade 8, Demand Response Coordinator III, job grade 9; or Senior Demand Response Coordinator, job grade 10. Ensure appropriate system configuration and adequate system maintenance to maintain effective operations. + Assist development of and support implementation strategy for demand response initiatives, programs, and stakeholder outreach. + Work with internal stakeholders on branding, publicity, and opportunities for influencing demand response + Evaluate and recommend opportunities for load growth. + Identify barriers to adoption and work with both internal and external stakeholders to address these and develop effective solutions. + Participate in consumer organizations, committees, and other energy groups to share information and provide opportunities to be effective and responsive to community needs. + Study and evaluate demand response opportunities, economic environments, and sustainability requirements, develop strategic initiatives to deploy these opportunities. + Stay current with industry trends and innovations. Researches and supports development of potential new demand response programs. + Provide Energy Markets with accurate, reliable load data for scheduling power and controlling load through demand response installations. Provide the member cooperatives the same data to employ reliable demand response control. + Prior experience in any of the following is highly desirable: demand response platforms (e.g. DERMS), SCADA systems, communications networks, information technology operations. + Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures and attain knowledge and remain knowledgeable of regulations, laws, standards, and best practices applicable to functional area. + Because Tri-State has an obligation to provide continuous, reliable electric service to its customers, the ability to work overtime at any time of the day or week is considered an essential function of the job. **Qualifications:** Education and Training: + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, Environmental Science, Physical Science or related area. Knowledge, Skills, and Ability: + Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally. + Ability to maintain effective working relationships. + Ability to make clear, consistent, and timely decisions. + Ability to maintain clear and open communication with various business unit stakeholders and research partners within and outside of the enterprise. + Ability to maintain cooperation and collaboration. + Ability to work in partnership with other teams and functional areas. + Working knowledge of regulations impacting electric utilities. + Understanding of demand response, load flexibility, and electrification trends in energy markets. Other: + Willingness to travel as required.
