In this role, you will forecast and review actual orders that are coming into the facility, determine if we have the finished purchased components available, and establish the schedule and promise date to the dealer. **What you can look forward to in this role:** + Prepare order schedules to fulfill product orders from the facility and ensure that there are no gaps in the flow of material that would impact delivery to the dealer. + Monitor the production plan and modifies as needed to maintain acceptable product availability and inventory levels. + Support data collection and analysis of actual results against business variables of the Rolling Business Model (RBM) forecasts such as sales to users, orders, shipments and factory and dealer inventory. + Assist in the development of a plan and business case for critical review by Product Managers, materials, factory managers and marketing subsidiaries, explaining why this plan provides the best compromise to conflicting objectives. + Adjust RBM forecast for supply constraints such as machinery, equipment, manpower, etc. + Support the global S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) process and attend meetings with marketing subsidiaries on a monthly basis acting as Subject Matter Expert + Support data gathering for analysis of industry and dealer trends and helps assess risks and opportunities. + Support data gathering to provide availability administration including demand management, special order programs, responding to critical deals, quoting delivery for large projects, etc. + Help prepare scheduling proposals to accommodate special situations such as strike hedge plans or reviewing costs and consequences of layoffs, carrying inventory, using plant shutdowns, etc. + Support oversight and analysis and development of complex attachment forecasts utilizing the latest tools available to compensate for changes in dealer ordering behavior + Monitor attachment inventory daily and develops schedules to achieve inventory turns goals while maintaining good availability on key attachments to compensate for order changes and diversions from stock inventor. **A successful candidate in this role will showcase their skills in:** + **Planning: Tactical, Strategic** : Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan. + **Forecasting:** Knowledge of forecasting tools, approaches and practices; ability to determine product demand and estimate production requirements and loads. + **Data Gathering & Analysis:** Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment. + **Analytical Thinking** : Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems. + **Problem Solving:** Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations. **Top Candidates for this position may also have:** + Strong SAP system skills + Knowledge and understanding of 6 Sigma project management concepts. + Experience in scheduling or supply chain related role + Knowledge of Caterpillar prime products and attachments + A bachelor’s degree in a Supply Chain related curriculum Additional Information: The primary location for this position is Victoria, TX.
