Ziegler CAT has an opening for a Demonstrator Operator to exhibit and operate machinery in Caterpillar’s complete product line and trains customer operations and Ziegler field sales people. They also perform formal deliveries and revisits; perform machine inspections and lend further assistance to other departments.

Responsibilities:

Works with field sales department to create the most effective demonstrations for sales enhancementTrains customers and sales force to be completely familiar with controls, systems, safety procedures, and daily maintenanceAssists outside departments in testing repaired equipment, troubleshooting customer machine issues and delivering small machinery ordersCreates machine displays for open houses and other public relations functionsConducts additional customer/operator training seminarsFollows up on sales and delivery interactions with customers, ensuring continued satisfactionOperates all machinery in necessary demonstrations, in order to enhance sales opportunitiesAbility to use technology to facilitate training

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED5+ years equipment operation experienceStrong technical aptitude and familiarity with the construction industryStrong learning orientationExcellent communication and customer service skillsWillingness to work extended hours and/or adjust to schedule changes, when necessaryAbility to work in a cooperative manner with team and superiorsMust have and maintain a clean driving recordClass A CDL or willingness to obtain one within a defined period of timeObtain a DOT medical certification cardPass a DOT pre-employment drug screen & physicalAble to operate equipment safelyThis role is deemed safety-sensitive and will be subject to a drug test as a pre-employment requirement

Travel:

Up to 10% overnight travel

Minimum Physical Requirements:

Push/pull up to 50 lbs

Lift/carry up to 60 lbs

Lift bulky objects

Standing, walking, using hands, talking, hearing, neck rotation, trunk rotation, stair climbing, ladder climbing, repetitive bending, kneeling, sustained squat, forward reaching, overhead reaching, supine overhead reaching, crawling, bin lift, high steps, fingering/grasping – able to use bolt box.

Working Conditions may be indoor and/or outdoor. Noise level may be loud at times.

The pay range for this position is

$80,700.00 to $100,900.00

Starting wage is dependent on skills, experience, education and location. Pay range may vary by 10% depending upon the applicant’s location. Along with competitive pay, full time positions are benefits eligible which includes:
