If you are looking for your next role to have a direct impact on the world, we have an excellent career opportunity for you to join Caterpillar’s Global Construction & Infrastructure (GCI) team as a Product Application Specialist for Demolition covering the EAME region.
In this role, you will provide technical product and value selling support for Demolition products sold in the EAME region. Additionally, you will support application and job sites studies, communicate product and market information to the Product Group, manage NPI process and participate on the market strategy.
Specifically, you can expect to do:
Train the district and dealer Sales Representatives on product and application matters (product, services, application and relevant systems or software).
Professionally provide ongoing technical support to districts and dealers supporting the customers’ need for detailed technical/performance/application data give rise to dealer requests for assistance and with a “customer first” mentality.
Prepare introduction plans for new products (NPI). Monitor progress on all elements of NPI and initiate corrective action. Develop and maintain regional training activities in support of new product launches for your regions.
Build and maintain up to date knowledge about competitive systems and machines and be able to promote Caterpillar value advantage to aid selling activities vs. each competitor.
Act as a mentor for less experienced employees with respect to all facets of the role with particular emphasis on product service and application knowledge and Caterpillar systems knowledge.
Be the primary conduit of technical information to and from the Product Group in support of key regional inputs & in development of business cases for the Unmet Customer Needs process.
Skills you will bring to the role
Technical Excellence – extensive knowledge in order to provide effective solutions to moderate technical challenges through strong technical competence, effectively examining implications of events and issues on assigned products.
Value Selling and Customer focus – extensive knowledge and ability to translate offerings and solutions into dollarized customer benefits based on understood customer needs.
Relationship Management and Effective Communications – extensive knowledge and ability to maintain productive, long-term relationships with clients or vendors, leveraging clear and effective communications and presentations that engage diverse internal and external audience.
Negotiation skills – working knowledge of successful negotiation technique to engage others in a constructive and collaborative manner
Critical Thinking and Decision making – working knowledge in order to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Education and experience:
University degree preferably in engineering, business or marketing
Extensive commercial experience involving dealer and/or customer facing positions (7+ years)
Fluent in English (verbal and written)

Previous experience of working in a multinational company and collaborating with a global team
Additional information:
Travel: requires up to 40% travel within EAME
The role is open to local talents. No expatriation assignment will be supported.
