Join our dedicated team at Gundersen Health System as a Dental Assistant in our Prosthodontics department.Gundersen Health System is a physician-led enterprise recognized for delivering high-quality healthcare services across Wisconsin We are looking for a motivated and skilled individual to provide exceptional support to our dental professionals and ensure a positive experience for our patients.

Position: Dental Assistant
Department: Prosthodontics
Hours: 36 hours per week
Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Locations: Downtown Dental Specialties, La Crosse

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the prosthodontist during examinations and proceduresPrepare and maintain the treatment area and dental instrumentsTake and develop dental radiographs (X-rays)Educate patients on oral hygiene and prosthetic careManage patient records and appointmentsEnsure compliance with infection control protocols

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalentCPR for Health Care Providers (with hands on learning)Previous experience in a dental setting, particularly in prosthodontics, is a preferredStrong communication and interpersonal skillsExperience working in electronic patient records (example Epic) is preferredAbility to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
