Dental Assistant (12478)

InGenesis is seeking a Dental Assistant to work with our client. In this role, you will perform a variety of dental assisting duties while promoting a safe and clean environment for quality dental care.

Essential Responsibilities:

Assists the dentist during a variety of examinations and treatment procedures: instrument transfer, dental procedure isolation techniques, and preparation of dental materials. Prepares treatment rooms, instruments, and cassettes for procedures. Records medical and dental history and vital signs of patients. Records visit information in the electronic patient record (QSI). Pours, trims, and polishes study casts; fabricates custom impression trays from preliminary impressions, cleans and polishes removable appliances, and fabricates temporary restorations. Provides patients with instructions for oral care following dental treatment procedures, such as the placement of a restoration (filling). Prepares and maintains dental instruments, supplies, and equipment. Digital dental radiographs (x-rays) and dental photographs Serves as an infection control officer, follows infection control protocols, and sterilizes and disinfects instruments and equipment.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent X-ray license. Proficient with dental software programs, including but not limited to QSI and NextGen. Current CPR/BLS training. Bilingual.

Physical Demands:

Required to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Required to grasp, move, or assemble very small objects. Must be able to make fast, repeated movements of fingers, hands, and wrists. Must be able to bend or twist their body for extended periods of time. Must be able to make quick, precise adjustments to machine controls. Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time. Must be able to coordinate movement of several parts of the body, such as arms and legs, while the body is moving. Must be able to lift, push, and carry 35 pounds. Must be able to see details at a close range.


This position is dependent on contract award.
