Job Title: Dental Assistant
Job Description

Join a dynamic team as a dental assistant, working closely with the Faculty Dentistry team to provide exceptional patient care. Collaborate with 4-5 providers per day alongside 7-9 dental assistants, ensuring timely and efficient service within a multi-specialty practice.

ResponsibilitiesPerform chair-side assisting in the delivery of patient care related to dental treatment procedures.Maintain clinic cleanliness, open and lock up the clinic, deliver and retrieve instruments from sterilization, and set up operatories.Manage patient scheduling and appointment confirmations, ensuring lab cases are ready for delivery.Facilitate the opening and closing of the clinic and assist with daily operations, including operating rooms.Prepare rooms for procedures, support cleanup, breakdown, and room setup processes.Assist faculty, residents, and staff with clinical procedures throughout and outside the workstation.Ensure each operatory is equipped with adequate instrumentation and supplies for efficient procedures.Maintain neat, clean, and stocked clinic operatories.Maintain complete inventory of all clinical supplies and ensure proper sterilization.Adhere to Infection Control Protocol, maintain appropriate attire, and use eye wear.Perform sterilization duties including delivery and retrieval of instruments and appropriate storage.Essential SkillsX-ray and radiography expertise.Proficiency in dental assisting and chair-side assisting.Graduation from a Dental Assistant program.Ortho experience.Certified Orthodontist Assistant (COA) preferred.Minimum 3+ years of dental assisting back office experience.Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.Additional Skills & QualificationsRegistered Dental Assistant (RDA) preferred.High School Diploma or GED required.Work Environment

Work in a private practice setting with 4-5 providers at any given time, seeing 30-40 patients in the morning and another 30-40 patients in the afternoon. The schedule is Monday to Thursday from 7:45 AM to 5 PM with a one-hour lunch break, and Friday from 8 AM to 12 PM.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
