Through this community of healers, scientists, and scholars, Rutgers is equipped as never before to transform lives. Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Dental Assistant II for the Endodontics Department within the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine (RSDM).

The Dental Assistant II will provide clinical support to residents and faculty during examination and treatment in the patient care clinic. The Dental Assistant II will perform chair-side assistance, digital radiographs, and dispensary assignment as required.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:

Assist residents chairside in the delivery of quality oral health care. Exposes and scans digital radiographs using digital sensor or phosphor plates. Issues equipment, instruments, and supplies to residents and/or faculty. Check returned instruments and prepare them for sterilization. Deliver, inspect, and retrieve instruments from the central sterilization unit. Examine equipment to detect leaks, worn or loose parts, or other indications of disrepair, verifying that equipment functions properly, complete requisition for equipment maintenance, repairs, replacement, and/or removal.
