Shift Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm Job Summary The Dental Assistant III will assist the dentist with four-handed dentistry during adult and pediatric procedures, including restorative, endodontics, periodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery and implant procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with various dental procedures, ensuring efficiency and patient comfort. Set up trays for commonly performed procedures and obtain radiographs as directed. Place sealants, finish temporary, composite, and amalgam restorations with minimal dentist adjustment. Take opposing impressions, pack cord, and fabricate temporary crowns and bridges. Pour and trim diagnostic models, construct custom acrylic trays, and prepare cases for lab submission, ensuring accuracy in impressions, bite registrations, and shade selection. Properly clean, sterilize, and organize instruments and supplies according to established protocols.
This position is based at the General Practice in the Turfland Oral Health Clinic but may require occasional backup coverage across various dental clinics both on and off campus.
