The Department Coordinator will Initiate, coordinate, implement and retain electronic documentation for all administrative and faculty actions related to the departmental(s) chairs’ office within the Languages and Linguistics department(s) of the Kenneth P. Dietrich School of Arts Sciences, Humanities Division. Serves as a liaison between the department(s) and the Humanities Division Business Office, the Dietrich School Dean’s Office, the Dietrich School Payroll and Sponsored Projects Teams, the Humanities Events Team, University Office of International Services and various University Business Offices. Also responsible for: processing travel expense reimbursements, advance settlements, One Card and Panther Express purchases, professional service contract agreements, department website updates, as well as general office management and oversight of student worker duties. Provides comparable service and back-up to other Dietrich School departments as needed.

The successful candidate will use a computer extensively. They must be capable of oral, written, and electronic communications. Must be able to sit for long periods of time. In addition to a computer, they must be able to use a telephone and other general office equipment including but not limited to fax machines, photocopiers, scanners, printers, etc.
