The Department Specialist in our Construction Risk Management Department at Zions Bancorp involves overseeing and managing the risks associated with construction loans. This role includes tasks such as evaluating loan applications, ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulations, and working closely with various departments to ensure smooth operations. The goal is to mitigate potential risks and ensure that construction projects funded by the bank are completed successfully and within budget.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

Provides administrative and operational support. Reviews and maintains loan files for the department. Processes invoices and answers questions related to billing. Maintains files, reports, notes, etc. Responsible for verifying completeness of files with all necessary documents and signatures required. Researches and resolves lending inquires and issues. Generates department reports as needed. Facilitate requests for reports and documentation required for loan closing. May prepare and/or track disbursements, loan documents, obtain credit and/or financial information. Answers questions and follows up with clients, employees, and vendors. Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

 

Requires High School diploma or equivalent 2-4+ years’ experience in banking, loan processing and documentation, loan assistance, or other directly related experience. A combination of education and experience may fulfill job requirements. Working knowledge of lending processes, loan principles, documentation, and loan systems. Knowledge of banking processes and procedures. Must have solid organizational and customer service skills. Must possess numeric and verbal aptitudes. Solid research, audit, and communications skills, both written and verbal. Ability to complete processes and meet deadlines. Working knowledge of computer programs such as Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Requires strong Excel abilities.
