Department Supervisor III - Hospital
Supervises the technical and administrative functions. Acts as a technical resource for team members. Collaborates to achieve the organizational goals. Implements goals consistent with assigned clinical and nonclinical units. **Responsibilities:** + Supervises the technical and administrative functions. + Supervises employees in daily operations and maintains staffing levels, approves and schedules paid time off and leave requests. Provides leadership and training. Coordinates and provides orientation, education and training. + Develops effective work team. Ensures cross coverage. + Proactively identifies opportunities to improve procedures and processes. + Encourages and supports morale building activities and positive attitudes. + Communicates with employees and provides orientation on policies. A + nalyzes workflow and procedures. + Identifies and implements opportunities to improve speed, quality and effectiveness. + Leads and implements large process improvement projects. + Other duties as assigned. **Education:** + Associate's degree required. + Bachelor's degree preferred. + A High School diploma/GED and five years of experience may substitute the work experience and education requirements. + A Bachelor's degree and one year of experience may substitute the work experience requirement. **Certifications:** + None required. **Complexity of Work:** + Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. + Must be able to take appropriate action in a stressful environment. **Work Experience:** + Three years of related supervisory experience required. + Healthcare experience in a large organization preferred. **Physical Requirements:** + Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods + Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment + Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information + Ability to travel throughout the hospital system + In some locations, ability to transport up to 25 pounds + May require the ability to operate various types of powered material handling equipment. **Personal Protective Equipment:** + Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. Pay Range Minimum hourly: $25.13 Maximum hourly: $38.33 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires.
