As the Wildlife Division’s payroll and class / select personnel liaison, this position will be responsible for processing and providing guidance to Division management on payroll related matters, including but not limited to overtime, holiday pay use, Plan A / C etc. and hiring functions, including but not limited to, FTE hires, noncareer hires, reclassifications, WOC etc. in partnership with the ESU manager. Following Civil Service regulations and rules, this position will determine proper classification for establishment, follow approved recruitment and selection procedures, and handle onboarding of new employees. This includes reviewing, evaluating, and taking appropriate action on a variety of position action requests. Conducting necessary research and analysis to prepare position descriptions using classification job specifications. This position will be responsible for other personnel related matters and functions including internal customer support, payroll, and timekeeping. Education and Experience for Departmental Analyst (Departmental Trainee) 9 (FOR CLASSIFIED STATE EMPLOYEES ONLY) Education Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school. Experience Four years of experience as an advanced 9-level worker in an ECP Group One classification. OR Three years of experience as an E9, E10, or E11-level worker in an ECP Group One classification. OR Two years of experience as an experienced level worker in an ECP Group One technician or paraprofessional classification. OR Two years of experience as a first-line supervisor in an ECP Group Three classification.
