Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Deployable Sr Principal Network Communications (Level 4) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Aircraft Solutions organization. This role is located in Chantilly, VA.
In this role, you will primarily maintain smooth operation of Advanced and Specialized Information System Hardware and Software.
Your duties include:
Plan, evaluate, and coordinate installation and/or reconfiguration of hardware and software elements of several complex and specialized information systems. Maintains technical expertise in all areas of information systems hardware/software, radio frequency and SATCOM communications systems, and computer interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc. including virtualized component and environmentsMay propose solutions to management to ensure all communications requirements based on future needs and current usage, configuring such solutions to optimize cost savings. Prepares or ensures that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions. Provides regular monitoring and analysis regarding short- and long-range planning for in-house systems. May coordinate third-party maintenance for equipment. May design systems or portions of systems that include selection of hardware and software packages.Basic Qualifications:
Must have a Bachelors of Science degree and at least 8 years of related military / professional experience, OR a Masters degree and at least 6 years of related military / professional experience OR a Ph.D. with at least 4 years of related military / professional experienceMust have the ability to complete initial qualification training within 180 days from program access and show continuous progress throughout the training program.Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days- a-week, and 365 days a year.Must have the ability to meet medical requirements for worldwide travel. Must have and maintain a valid U.S. passport.Must have the ability to accept customer furnished quarters for a period up to 120 days away from primary work location and comply with mobility requirements to include required immunizations and vaccinations.Must have an active DoD Top Secret clearance and maintain that clearance as a condition of employmentMust have the ability to obtain and retain Special Program access clearance within 365 days from submission.Must have or be able to obtain a Security Plus (Sec+) Certification within 6 months of hire.Preferred Qualifications:

Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
