Our GFL team is expanding, and we’re looking for a Deployment Manager! In this role, you’ll play a vital part by being involved in the planning, coordination, and execution of software and hardware deployment projects for GFL’s IT in-cab systems. The Deployment Manager will play a critical role in bridging the gap between development and operations, ensuring that software solutions are rolled out seamlessly and efficiently. You will be responsible for managing the entire deployment lifecycle, from the initial planning stages through to post-launch support including identifying and mitigating risks, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring that all deployments align with our business objectives. Additionally, you will be instrumental in facilitating feedback loops and ensuring that learnings from past deployments are integrated into future projects to continually improve deployment practices.

A “Day in the Life" of a Deployment Manager:

Oversee the end-to-end deployment process for In-Cab system products, ensuring successful rollouts by collaborating with cross-functional teams (development, QA, operations, and product management).

Develop deployment strategies, schedules, and risk mitigation plans while monitoring progress and addressing issues to minimize disruptions.

Document deployment processes, maintain accurate records, report metrics, and train team members on best practices.

Promote the company’s high standards, sound principles, and positive image while staying informed on industry trends to improve deployment methodologies.

Perform additional duties and responsibilities as requested by management.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., BA, BS, or BCom.) or equivalent practical experience.

5+ years of experience in IT systems management and/or support, with proven expertise in software deployment management or a related role.

Strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of both development and operational practices.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail.

Self-motivated team player with the ability to travel as needed.

Bilingual proficiency in French and English is preferred.
