Deposit Operations Specialist

SUMMARY OF POSITION:\n

Responsible for processing customer information file (CIF) records; performing consumer and\/or business deposit account record maintenance; reviewing consumer, entity, and legal documentation related to deposit account opening or servicing; assisting community office teams with workflow processing via email and telephone inquiries; and other operational customer correspondence; complying with regulations, laws, and internal policies and procedures related to deposit account processing.\n

LOCATION:
This position will be based in our Corporate Headquarters in Chambersburg, PA. A hybrid working arrangement is available after a satisfactory introductory period and successful demonstration of key accountabilities.\n


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:\n

All documentation reviews consist of a dual control review process. First review performs required FIS IBS core system changes of initial request. Second review verifies first reviews work for accuracy, completeness, and record retention. First and second reviews cannot be completed by the same person.\n

1.Maintains integrity and quality of first review for at least one (1) of the following workflow queues:\n

a. CIF - customer level record maintenance and record management
b. Consumer Deposit Accounts - checking, savings, and money management account documentation owned by individuals
c. Business Deposit Accounts - checking, savings, and money management account documentation owned by entities
d. Transaction Restricted Accounts - Certificates of Deposit, Individual Retirement Accounts, Health Savings Accounts, and Safe Deposit Boxes
e. Legal Documentation - reviews documentation such as Power of Attorneys (POA), Trusts, Rep Payees, etc. for regulatory compliance
f. Landlord Tenant & Municipal Accounts - accurately establishes account setups according to requests directions
g. ICS & IntraFi - accurately establishes account setups, sweep structure, and third-party depository funding relationships via coordination between Deposit Operations, Treasury Management, and Finance\n

2. Ensures accuracy and completeness of secondary reviews for at least one (1) new and existing account maintenance workflows (see 1a-1g)
a. Verifies or denies primary changes to Core by first review.
b. Ensures all legal documentation is collected prior to submission to record retention cold storage.
c. Assists with monitoring Incomplete Documentation for audit purposes.\n

3.Abides by current laws and regulations related to the function of the position including customer correspondence such as:\n

a. Sends notification letters to IRA customers of required minimum distribution requirement and issues distribution checks.
b. Prints CD interest and club account checks daily to be mailed to customers.
c. Sends written communication to customers when warranted.\n

4.Responds to telephone and email requests for support related to deposit accounts from community office and other internal departments:\n

a. Provides support with basic understanding of front-line systems within IBS Core System, Deposit Origination, and Service Request workflows.
b. Identifies and troubleshoots workflow issues with community offices and escalates to management as necessary.\n

REQUIRED EDUCATION:\n

A high school diploma or equivalent.\n

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:\n

One or more years in previous operations or other transferable skills is required.\n
