Role/Department

As a Depositary Officer, you will be the primary point of contact for a portfolio of NT depositary clients, focused on real estate, infrastructure and/or private equity funds.  You will be responsible for monitoring funds activities, proactively providing technical and operational knowledge on Luxembourg AIFs, following the necessary policies and procedures to meet all regulatory requirements.

As a core member of the Northern Trust Global Services SE (NTGS SE) Luxembourg Depositary Team you will leverage your experience and knowledge to provide support and guidance to other NT partners across the organisation.  Involvement with other EMEA jurisdictions is also required both from an Operations perspective as well as a Subject Matter Expert depending on your experience and capabilities.

The key responsibilities of the role include

Provides Depositary Operation services to larger promoters/ funds and moderately complex fundsHas a good technical knowledge of fund regulationsWorks on own initiative but requires support in completing fund board papersRequires support on technical issues on fundsSupports senior analysts and analysts in the sectionAttends board meetings with Operations Team Leaders/ManagersAssists with the testing related to the on-site inspections of the administratorsCompletes fund NAV reviewsPerforms investment restriction oversight including update to the breaches registersFully participates in take on meetings for new clientsMay have direct interaction with committees and/or Senior ManagementAble to serve as a key subject matter expert and mentor to other more junior level employeesMay manage daily operational activities and supervise day-to-day work of junior level employees (but not a formal management role)More technically sound in area of expertise and has broader knowledge of other areasAble to facilitate discussions and reach decisions


Skills/ Experience

Excellent oral and written communication skills are requiredFunctional & Industry Knowledge is requiredAnalytical & problem solving skills are preferredTechnical skills & systems knowledge is preferredA College or University degree and/or some relevant work experience is preferred.Related Industry qualification (e.g. ACCA, Diploma in Mutual Funds) / or studying towards, is preferred
