Open Rank Position (Assistant, Associate, Professor/Clinical)

The University of Texas Health San Antonio (UTHSA), School of Dentistry is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time faculty position as the Assistant Program Director at the rank of Clinical Assistant, Associate or Professor, Non-tenure track for the Department of Periodontics.

The successful applicant will be joining a department committed to high quality educational programs, graduate student research and funded research related to periodontal diseases. The School of Dentistry and the Department of Periodontics, in particular, place a high priority on faculty development and intramural faculty practice in our state-of-the-art facilities.

Applicants must have a DDS or DMD or foreign equivalent, must have either a Texas Dental license or be Texas license eligible. The requirements for all candidates include, an American Board of Periodontology certification or eligibility, moderate sedation certificate (level 3), as well as documented management of ASA III patients with moderate sedation. Candidates should have research training and experience, as well as demonstrated interest in managing administrative operations for graduate training program. As well as the potential for extramural research support within the department's focus areas, namely the biology of bone and connective tissues, inflammation, and wound healing with potential application to the periodontal diseases.
