Salary Range: $85,000 - $95,000 (based on experience)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Supervisor is responsible for maintaining a safe department at all times, leads by example, must wear all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while performing all duties; they must also ensure that the employees they supervise do the same, and they must stop work immediately and implement corrective action if they observe any non-compliance
Immediately reports all accidents as well as near miss incidents to the Services Manager and/or EHS personnel, actively participates in investigative and prevention activities to ensure that the same type of incident does not reoccur Collaborates with Human Resources and Environmental, Health & Safety departments to train and assist in acclimating newly hired employees in the department’s daily operations, goals and general expectations of the company, as well as ongoing (monthly) safety training per EHS Follow a production schedule, reviewing and adjusting schedule where needed Completes all production reporting as required. As well as administrative time keeping duties Oversee and direct daily operations of production team to meet output goals Monitor inventory levels; request parts and supplies as needed Ensure product quality through routine checks and process adherence Assigns work orders to appropriate team members as appropriate to meet customer commitments Provides leadership and guidance to ensure work performed matches customer and/or service order request Monitor and evaluate staff performance Clearly communicate goals, expectations and provide timely feedback as appropriate Interacts with customer as needed to provide status updates, obtain additional information and ensure overall customer satisfaction Provides daily status updates to management on progress of work orders Works with appropriate team members to resolve issues or request support as needed Performs other duties as assigned by the Service Manager
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or a 2-year technical degree preferred Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment. Proficient in MS Office, Outlook, and Teams Must be adaptable to changes in the work environment, comfortable with multiple competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events in a calm and logical manner Hands-on experience welding in a production setting Strong leadership, communication, organizational skills, and safety-first mindset Prior experience with 5S and lean manufacturing principles Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentPhysical and Work Environment Requirements:
While performing duties, you must be able to sit, stand, talk, hear, climb, or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Ability to work standing or in a crouched position for long periods of time. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
