GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Wyoming Department of Corrections is seeking to fill the position of Prison Division Deputy Administrator-Contracts and Programming in the Cheyenne Central Office location. This position will oversee contracted medical, mental health, sex offender, and substance use disorder treatment services. In addition, this position will be responsible for religious programming and compliance and prison case management services and programming. This is an at-will position and serves at the discretion of the Director and does not have authority over prison operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function which may be performed at the job level.
+ Responsible for the integrity of contracted and agency-provided treatment and programming.
+ Ensure case management and programming are evidence-based, effective, designed for an inmate population, and help produce a successful transition to the community.
+ Oversee medical and mental health contracts.
+ Oversee sex offender treatment contracts.
+ Oversee substance use disorder treatment contract.
+ Oversee religious services, coordinators, and compliance with inmates' religious rights
+ Oversee correctional case management services and programming.
+ Serve in duty Office Rotation for on-call incidents after-hours
+ Oversee the Department's Pandemic response plan and policy.
Qualifications
PREFERENCES:
Preference will be given to those with one or more of the following:
+ A Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, or a related field and eight (8) years of experience working in corrections;
+ Correctional Executive Certification;
+ A background that spans the correctional continuum to include direct work with inmates/offenders as an Agent; or as a prison professional to include correctional major or above or unit manager and above.
KNOWLEDGE:
+ Knowledge of institutional health standards, corrections programming, and prison operations.
+ Knowledge of management supervision and techniques.
+ Knowledge of the criminal justice system.
+ Knowledge of department policies and procedures.
+ Skill in interpersonal communications.
+ Skill in team building and problem resolution.
+ Skill in oral and written communication.
+ Skill in organization, time management, group facilitation, and problem-solving.
+ Skill in verbal and written communication.
+ Ability to analyze information from various sources.
+ Ability to engage others in innovative solutions.
+ Ability to create and implement new concepts and ideas.

PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
+ Lifting/grasping up to 20 pounds without assistance on an occasional to regular basis
+ Walking on cement floors on an occasional to regular basis
