For generations, Minnesota has been producing award-winning film, television and commercials. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a competitive entertainment incentive program and develop working relationships with industry professionals for the economic development of Minnesota. As the Deputy Director for Explore Minnesota Film you will oversee the Film Production Tax Credit and other state film incentive programs and lead the overall marketing and communications strategy for the department. Through your leadership you will also support the Executive Director in positioning Minnesota as the best state for travel, quality of life and economic opportunity.
**Minimum Qualifications**

Demonstrated leadership experience as a manager, supervisor, team lead, lead worker or project lead
AND
Five years of professional experience in developing and guiding marketing and communications strategies that demonstrates:
+ Knowledge of and proficiency in contemporary issues and opportunities in film production and film marketing.
+ Experience working at a state, regional or local film commission.
+ Experience leading results-driven, multi-channel, integrated marketing plans.
+ Experience forming and leading cross-functional teams.
+ Experience with stakeholder management and community engagement.
+ Experience managing human and fiscal resources.
+ Experience leveraging data and analytics to monitor effectiveness, develop insights and create measures for success.
+ Exceptional written and verbal communications skills.
Substitutions: Applicants may substitute a degree in marketing, communications, public relations, business, public administration, public policy, or a closely related discipline for experience as follows. A Master's degree will substitute for 18 months of experience OR A Bachelor's degree will substitute for 1 year of experience.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Experience executing high-impact marketing initiatives.
+ Experience negotiating with production companies.
+ Experience coordinating trade associations, state associations and individual businesses involved in film production.
+ Experience managing film production incentive programs
+ Leadership experience at a state film commission.
+ Experience overseeing customer service program.
+ Knowledge of MN State government policies, procedures, processes, laws and rules.

**Physical Requirements**
+ Overnight travel, sitting for long periods at a time, occasional moving of articles such as a laptop computer.
