Deputy Director, Office of the CIO

ManTech is seeking a highly motivated and experienced leader to fill the crucial role of Deputy Director, Office of the CIO. This individual will play a pivotal role in the strategic development and operational success of the Office of the CIO Department within the Office of the CIO Division. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, this position is responsible for assisting in the establishment and maturation of the Office of the CIO, leveraging Gartner’s industry-leading model to deliver exceptional value to the organization. This role demands a strategic thinker with a strong operational focus, capable of translating vision into action and delivering tangible results.
This is a hybrid position. The person will be required to be on site one day a week or on an as needed basis.
**Responsibilities and Initiatives to include but not limited to:**
+ Office of the CIO Development
+ Lead the development and implementation of the Office of the CIO framework based on the Gartner model, establishing efficient processes and governance structures.
+ Define and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the Office of the CIO and its alignment with organizational goals.
+ Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the Office of the CIO team.
+ Enterprise AI Strategy:
+ Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to develop and implement a comprehensive Enterprise AI strategy.
+ Identify and assess potential AI applications to drive business value and innovation.
+ Stay abreast of emerging AI trends and technologies, ensuring ManTech remains at the forefront of AI adoption.
+ AI Advisory Group:
+ Serve as a key member of ManTech's AI Advisory Group, providing thought leadership and strategic guidance.
+ Identify, assess, and champion AI initiatives that support ManTech's overall AI objectives.
+ Collaborate with other members of the AI Advisory Group to drive the adoption and integration of AI across the organization.
+ Portfolio Management:
+ Oversee the IT portfolio management process, ensuring alignment with business priorities and optimal resource allocation.
+ Develop and maintain a standardized process for project prioritization, selection, and execution.
+ Monitor and report on portfolio performance, identifying risks and opportunities.
+ ITIL Change and Release Management:
+ Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of ITIL Change and Release Management processes, leveraging ServiceNow.
+ Ensure efficient and effective change management practices to minimize disruption and optimize service delivery.
+ Develop and deliver training on change and release management processes and procedures.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred
+ 10+ years of experience in IT leadership roles, with a proven track record of success in building and managing high-performing teams.
+ Experience managing a small staff (3)
+ Strong knowledge of Enterprise AI Strategy, Portfolio Management, and ITIL Change and Release Management.
+ Experience with ServiceNow or other similar ITSM platforms.
+ Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
+ Proven ability to drive projects to successful completion, on time and within budget.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
**Additional Preferred Qualifications:**
+ ITIL certification
+ Project Management certification (e.g., PMP)
+ Experience in the defense or government contracting industry
+ Deep understanding of the Gartner model for the Office of the CIO.
**Physical Requirements:**
+ Must be able to remain in stationary position for up to 50% of the time.
+ Must be able to deliver clear and effective communication both verbally and non-verbally to deliver updates; briefings; or interface with co-workers; leadership as well as customer.
+ Must be able to work in an office environment and be able to freely move within this space to utilize office equipment as well as interface with co-workers and customers.
