The Deputy Director will work closely with the Executive Director, Healthy Futures team and its Board to evolve and execute the charity’s strategy, progress and impact during an important transitional period for the charity and company. The Deputy Director will play a key role building relationships, raising brand awareness and securing financial support for Rite Aid Healthy Futures. This position requires a blend of organizational stewardship; technology, financial and fundraising proficiency; and exceptional communication skills to ensure organizational excellence, revenue growth and philanthropic impact. Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

I. Operations Administration (40%):

Develop and / or optimize systems, policies, programs, process improvements, and planning to strengthen organizational excellence.Work closely with outsourced firms conducting business on behalf of the charity, namely legal, finance, investments, audit and technology to mitigate risks and ensure coordination and productivity.Oversee grants administration and the technology system (CyberGrants), plus core annual processes: the audit, state filings and organizational budget.Partner with the President and Executive Director on governance matters, including preparation for quarterly Board meetings and annual Board retreat to ensure compliance and good governance, plus deepen engagement.

II. Marketing & Communications (40%):

Serve as a proactive steward of the brand and reputation of Rite Aid Healthy Futures.Lead brand management and content creation through compelling programs and messages to engage key stakeholders, including donors, partners, associates and communities.Utilize a wide range of communications channels, including the organization’s website, earned media, social media, blogs, videos, Impact Reports and other high-visibility opportunities, which can also be leveraged for fundraising purposes.Serve as the lead public relations and internal communications liaison and marketing conduit with Rite Aid Corp.

III. Fundraising & Development (20%):

Support Healthy Futures’ fundraising efforts, as an organization-wide priority, including the relaunch of programs with customers and business partners to raise $5M-$10M+ annually.Develop and / or manage the outsourced production of related fundraising materials for donors, stores and online platforms to inform, engage and prompt customers and partners to participate in fundraising programs. qualifications
