The Deputy Director of Food Services is responsible for oversight of Food Services and CACFP compliance for the Wisconsin delegate, including monitoring, training, and technical support.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with the Inc. Director of Food Services to develop and execute qualitative and quantitative food service monitoring systems.- Compiles, reviews, and audits delegate food service documentation to assure compliance with all regulations.- Collaborates with delegate Data Analysis Coordinator and Director of Finance to ensure that monthly reimbursements are reported to Inc in an accurate and timely manner.- Ensures that a regular schedule of on-site monitoring visits at every site are conducted to assure adherence with all CACFP, state and local licensing regulations, and ensure that corrective actions are completed in a timely manner.- Plans annual budgets with the Vice President and Director of Finance that minimize losses and resultant required subsidy from Head Start Operational budgets.- Optimizes menu plans that provide healthy, attractive meals to children while controlling costs within the bounds of budgetary constraints. - Takes the lead in completing annual CACFP applications and works with the Director of Operations, Monitoring and Compliance to ensure that all kitchens meet the standards of relevant regulatory agencies.- Ensures that the food preparation and service meet the highest standard of quality throughout the delegate; consults with the Inc Food Services Director on required improvements.- Conducts ongoing review of budgets and ongoing food related expenses for the delegate and directs adjustments as required.Participates in self-assessment systems (SASCIE) and ensures evidentiary documentation is uploaded in a timely manner throughout the year.- Attends monthly food service calls with Directors of Operations and Food Services to discuss and move forward network wide planning and execution of new initiatives.- Works with the delegate’s Vice President and Senior Leadership to develop local training, technical assistance, and support plans, and to update as needed.- Identifies local training and technical assistance needs and develops training workshops to build staff capacity, ensure that staff have the knowledge and skills to execute all aspects of food services in accordance with CACFP, Servsafe, state licensing and Acelero policies and procedures.
Job Requirements:- Associates Degree required.- 5+ years of experience overseeing food service and/or CACFP compliance.- Proven ability to support a team across a broad geography.- Physical exam and background checks are required for this position.- Travel required locally or long-distance up to 10% of the time for work-related meetings and functions.- Must have a valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation.
This is a full-time salaried position and the pay rate is $66,359.36 annually.
