As part of the Global Content team, you will lead and develop content projects across our diverse trading geographies, including the Americas, EMEA, and Asia Pacific. We are looking for someone with a keen eye for detail and a proven track record in crafting concise and engaging content that tackles complex themes and macro topics influencing our clients' worlds. This role is a dynamic mix of writing, editing, and strategic planning, where you will help define the broader direction for our team. How you'll make an impact Role objectives Partnering with the Global Thought Leadership Editor and Senior Content Editor to develop, scope and deliver content across a wide range of topic areas to build reputation, drive revenue growth and deepen relationships. Supporting Gallagher’s efforts to build a sustainable pipeline of high quality content and written materials that enable front-line sales and relationship teams to engage customers and create value for their business Translating topic themes and supporting research & insights into a compelling narrative that enables customers and organisations to make informed decisions on challenges and opportunities facing their business Championing editorial standards; providing practical recommendations to topic experts and content contributors Coaching and supporting a team of content writers, working to advance their career goals while developing their content development skills. Technical delivery Sub-editing – supporting the Editorial team to review and edit draft content projects to align with the global style guide while ensuring the angles presented correspond to the content brief and will resonate with our readership and general market audience Researching, writing, editing and delivering well-written, up-to-date content for publication that reflects current market practice and is of the quality and scope that meets the business objectives and needs of customers. Partnering with Global Content team colleagues to support marketing and communications project leads across the organisation to ensure that projects are delivered on time and on budget, raising and resolving issues early Supporting and mentoring more junior colleagues in relation to writing and maintaining content and answering questions from internal stakeholders Able to communicate complex ideas clearly, succinctly and in a compelling and engaging way, across a range of content formats including white papers, e-books, brochures, campaign publications and newsletters Lead and contribute to team, business and leadership sessions Developing relationships with third parties with a view to improving content through third party insights. Business partners / Key stakeholders Divisional marketing project leads and enterprise delivery teams (Creative, digital, data & insights, partnerships, brand & communications) External partners – including research, survey, specialist content developers About You Highly experienced in thought leadership development, journalism and/or content writing role Advanced technical writing skills Degree or equivalent business qualification in Business, Marketing etc Experience with project management tools, SLAs and operational delivery frameworks Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite Familiarity, ideally hands-on experience, of marketing analytics dashboards and reporting tools, e.g.Google Analytics Eligibility to work in the UK Compensation and benefits On top of a competitive salary, great teams and exciting career opportunities, we also offer a wide range of benefits.
