The opportunities: your next adventure awaits

As a Deputy General Counsel for EY Luxembourg, you will be a member of our in-house Legal Department and will be working on a various range of legal topics mostly focusing on contractual, business operations and corporate/regulatory compliance matters. In this role, you will have regular exposure to EY Luxembourg partners & leadership.

 

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Providing strategic legal advice to our leadership team as well as guidance on complex legal issues Collaborating with key stakeholders and defining a legal strategy to mitigate legal risks in contractual agreements and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and EY’s engagements policies Drafting, reviewing, structuring, and negotiating contracts and agreements with EY Luxembourg’s local and international clients (master services agreements, General Terms and Conditions, etc.) and suppliers (procurement, IT contracts, partnership & alliance agreements, subcontracts, software, etc.) Elaborating and keeping up-to-date EY Luxembourg’s contractual library and providing appropriate guidance and training to EY’s teams regarding the use of contractual templates Providing legal advice on various legal matters (civil law, commercial law, corporate, etc.) to EY Luxembourg’s partnership and people from Assurance, Tax and Consulting service lines as well as to the business lines supports Advising on corporate governance matters and projects and ensuring compliance with relevant corporate laws Advising and providing guidance on International Sanctions Matters including for client acceptance assessments Identifying and assessing legal risks associated with business transactions /activities Monitoring legal and regulatory changes that may impact our business

Qualifications

You hold a Master in Business, Company or Contract Law You have at least 10 years of relevant experience in a similar working environment or in a law firm handling at least contractual matters You have a thorough understanding of Luxembourg laws and regulations and full command and expertise in structuring, drafting and negotiating various complex contractual arrangements You hold a full working proficiency or native level in French & English. Any other language skills such as German will be considered as an asset (but it is not compulsory) You are a decision-maker You demonstrate excellent writing, communication and presentation skills You show well-established organizational, multitasking and prioritization skills You appreciate working in a highly dynamic & international environment
