Deputy Head of D&O Product, Financial Lines
Join us as the Deputy Head of D&O Product to step into a key team role.
This role will be responsible for partnering in the development and dissemination of education, thought leadership, policy forms and enhancements for the D&O portfolio across all business units – Public Company National Accounts ($1B+ Revenue), Public Company Corporate Accounts (<$1B Revenue), Financial Institutions Accounts, and Private Non-Profit Accounts across North America, Canada, and Bermuda.
How you will create an impact
Partner to create D&O trainings and presentations to enhance knowledge of the product, both internally and externally, across business units and regions in Financial Lines.Research novel issues regarding coverage, sources of liability and claims trends and assist in presenting findings to internal and external stakeholders.Coordinate with claims to identify trends and ensure realization of the D&O product as expected.Provide guidance and facilitate dissemination of knowledge regarding common coverage issues and solutions.Research and prepare thought leadership papers on claims trends and product offerings.Develop broker specific endorsement suites for the D&O Statement, Side A Statement as well as other D&O and Side A policy forms.Coordinate coverage enhancements provided for private non-profit and FI panels, and create and maintain an organized system to provide enhancements going forward.Assist in the creation of a new D&O coverage section for a new policy forms for use on private non-profit D&O accounts, including commercial and FI accounts.Maintain and update endorsement express tool to ensure appropriate use and lifespan of endorsements. Create and Track engagement of D&O public company securities panel counsel and private non-profit D&O panel counsel (both duty and non-duty to defend panels).Collaborate with legal and regulatory teams, including state filings, to create D&O and Side A rating plans, as well as maintenance filing of endorsements and policy forms.Develop strategy with operations team to promote efficient use of all broker specific endorsement suites.Drive consistency of underwriting best practices and guidelines regarding coverage enhancements, in accordance with underwriting guidelines, to ensure rating, pricing, profitability, and structuring adequacy.Work collaboratively with all Financial Lines Business Heads, Zonal Executives, the Chief Underwriting Office and Actuarial, Legal and Claims departments.Foster a culture that promotes collaboration, innovation, diversity, equity and inclusion.What you’ll need to succeed
5+ years Financial Lines Underwriting, Brokerage, Claims, Legal or equivalent experience in areas of project management, business analysis, etc.Strong written & verbal communication skills, including presentation and training facilitation.Ability to identify issues, collaborate to solve problems, learn rapidly, exercise influence, and manage and prioritize multiple concurrent projects.Ability to collaborate with others to effect change where appropriate.Commercial mindset with a proven understanding of how to be effective and productive within a matrixed structure.Collegial and collaborative in approach and style.Technical expertise in Management Liability Products, preferred.Knowledge of the D&O product, including features, forms, regulatory environment, and risks, preferred.At AIG, we value in-person collaboration as a vital part of our culture, which is why team members come together in the office four days per week. For positions based in New York City or San Francisco, the base salary range is $105,000 - $148,000 and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan. For positions based in Jersey City, Denver, or Los Angeles, the base salary range is $99,000 - $143,000 and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
