We are now looking for a Deputy Payroll Manager for India Payroll Delivery Hub centre based out of RTX Enterprise services in Bangalore. This position will be required to have demonstrated in-depth knowledge of a modern payroll function – including finding opportunities to implement standard methodologies and ensure continuous improvement of the function. It requires working closely with the global payroll team, HR, finance, and external vendors to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing, reporting, and tax filing. This role requires maintaining confidentiality and treat sensitive information with discretion, act as a role model for ethical behaviour, and be an advocate of and follow Company policies. It requires excellent people, communication and writing skills; be able to collaborate across various business units and employees.

Major duties: 
•    Your scope includes India payroll hub operations for multiple countries of RTX entities
•    Overall delivery of end-to-end payroll operations Provide support, and direction to the payroll team leaders and members on the team.
•    Provide approval / signatory support on payroll sign off / payments
•    Ensure compliance with local tax laws, statutory regulations, and company policies and procedures.
•    Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll reports and tax filings to the relevant authorities.
•    Coordinate with the global payroll team, HR, finance, and external vendors to resolve any payroll issues or queries.
•    Review and improve the payroll processes and systems to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and security.
•    Identify opportunities to automate manual processes. Recommend process improvements including assisting with the design and implementation of internal control measures to ensure proper payment authorizations and segregation of duties.
•    Providing excellent payroll support to employees and cross-functional teams by addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests.
•    Creating and/or maintaining payroll documentation as it relates to processing, operational procedures, compliance, and other payroll-related matters.
•    Handle external and internal audits for the area of payroll.
•    Lead, mentor, and develop the payroll team in India and foster a collaborative and positive work environment.

•    Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision

•    Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information relating to payroll and HR activities
•    Comprehensive and working knowledge of payroll systems
•    Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across departments and regions.
•    Problem solving, Eye for detail, should be flexible to work in pressure
•    Ability to analyze and develop efficient processes and procedures
•    Strong analytical, problem solving, and time management skills & ability to prioritize responsibilities
•    Understanding of Payroll and HR legislation and processes (ie. interpretation of awards and legislation, tax)
•    Establishing working relationships with key HR/Finance professionals in-country as well as payroll vendors
•    Escalating issues to the appropriate level when required 

Qualification, Knowledge & Experience Required: 
•    Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
•    10 overall years of experience in payroll & 4+ years of people management experience, preferably in a multinational company.
•    Strong knowledge of India and other APAC countries (Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Philippines) payroll laws, regulations, and best practices.
•    Proficient in MS Office, Workday and SAP.
•    Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
•    High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
•    Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
