Objectives of the Position
TSS plays a key role between sites, countries and regional platform to enhance the cooperation and maximum the synergies, with supporting sites to solve any pain points by right skills and competitive solutions, and continuously improving site engineering and maintenance level in terms of latest know-how and technologies in the BASF world.
Main Tasks
Assessment and Continuous improvement on maintenance & reliability (depending on country focusing)
Regular visits of all sites in order to map the sites’ E&M needs.
Assess E&M management maturity and work out improvement measures with expertise resources together
Assess, challenge and eventually escalate the execution of critical E&M tasks within the site community
Make annual E&M improvement plans for sites and follow up implementation status
Site Engineering Mgmt. on MOCs and small Capex Project (depending on country focusing)
MOC engineering workflow audit and assessment for sites
Coordinate between site and expertise resources on MOC/Small project execution support
MOC experience sharing including lessons learned and best practice promotion
Project Lead (or be a member) for a specific technical investment based on the necessity and/or request
Technical Rules Promotion
Research and align E&M management systems of sites to global & regional technical rules. Ensure knowledge and implementation of these rules with sites in a practical way.
Establish BASF basic E&M management elements applicable to sites and ensure the implementation in the sites.
E&M Reporting & Controlling
Reporting of E&M performance indicators and technical cost to identify current status, improvement fields and development direction of sites
Support sites in order to improve E&M and reliability transparency regarding KPIs and cost
E&M Programs, Procedures and Standard Tools
Take coordination role for optimization projects which are initiated within the global or Asia Pacific Technical Community
Steer the program and tasks within sites including new sites to improve the system such as SAP PM/MM usage, BAM etc.to ensure the practice effectiveness
Key role in technical community
Represent site sub community in regional E&M platforms and community
Best Practices Sharing with the frame of the Asia Pacific technical community
Interact with global/regional counterparts and community to introduce the best practices bi-direction.
Develop people and foster the expertise pool within sites
Coordination with global and regional expertise supports once needed
Coordinating E&M pain points for expertise supports in case of lack of resources and/or competences within the site community
Launching and organizing E&M training with the site community by expertise supports
Regular knowledge exchange with regional platform and hub community in order to stay in touch with the latest E&M developments.
Minimum Education and Qualification Required for the Position
Education: Bachelor degree above in technical, engineering or chemical related.
Working Experience: Around 10-year work experience in operation and/or maintenance and/or project in chemical or petrochemical industry.
Language: Japanese and fluent written and oral English are needed.
