Who You Are
You’re an experienced and dependable Deputy Postmaster with expertise in overseeing postal operations and ensuring efficient service delivery. Skilled in team leadership, logistics management, and customer service, you excel at coordinating mail distribution, resolving operational challenges, and maintaining compliance with postal regulations. Your ability to manage resources, train staff, and streamline processes ensures the smooth functioning of postal services.

What You'll Do
In the role of Deputy Postmaster, your duties will include:
Managing the day-to-day operations of the post office, including managing budgets and financial records.
Ensuring compliance with USPS policies and procedures.
Maintaining inventory and supplies.
Providing leadership and mentorship to a team of employees.
Handling customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
Developing and implementing strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the post office.
Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
At least three years of postal experience, including experience in a leadership role
Must Possess a US Secret Clearance.
Must be a US Citizen.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead and manage a team of employees
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Customer service skills and the ability to handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner
Problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and address problems as they arise
Proficiency with computers and the ability to use a variety of software programs
May be required to lift and move heavy objects and may be required to stand for long periods of time.
Attention to Detail: Precision and attention to detail to ensure high-quality service delivery and compliance with safety standards.
Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing conditions, technologies, and requirements.
Decision-Making Ability: Strong decision-making skills to resolve issues quickly and effectively under pressure.
This role will be located in Alice Springs. This position is expected to be onsite 100%.
