Deputy Program Manager
**Description** The Mission Concepts and Capabilities Division (MCC) of Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) is seeking a motivated, energetic **Deputy Program Manager** to support the government in the development and application of high-assurance computer security systems hardware and software. This contingent position, expected to start late spring or early summer 2025, will support provide support on-site in the National Capital Region, from ARA facilities, and via telecommuting when approved. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of Department of Defense information assurance (IA) systems. **Required Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree and 10+ of experience OR high school diploma with 15+ years of experience + DoD SECRET clearance + Ability to work independently or as part of a team + Experience in managing contractors and subcontractors in a research and development environment  + Experience in effective communication and problem resolution  + Experience tracking program milestones progress  + Experience directing and coordinating program activities + Experience in preparing plans and reports for management + Experience in reviewing reports to ensure progress is accomplished toward program/project objectives + Experience in financial and budget management + Experience in coordinating schedules to completion proposals, contract deliverables, and task orders **Desired Qualifications:** + Master’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience OR + PhD and five (5) or more years of relevant experience + DoD TOP SECRET clearance with SCI eligibility + Experience with program support for U.S. Navy programs + Experience with business processes and communications for contracts supporting DOD **COMPANY INFORMATION:** Applied Research Associates, Inc. is an employee-owned international research and engineering company recognized for providing technically superior solutions to complex and challenging problems in the physical sciences.
