GovCIO is currently hiring for Deputy Program Manager to lead a portfolio of execution team in program management, data analytics, and reporting activities at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). This role will be responsible for providing coordinated delivery and execution across 9 different project management teams.  This support will focus on advising team members and government stakeholders into the best processes and methodologies to execution on government taskings, data analytics, dashboard creation, strategic planning and varied other programmatic needs. This position will be a fully remote position.

Responsibilities

 

Assist in the establishment of processes and practices to streamline data analytics and reporting tasks across 9 distinct project teamsFacilitate an agile process of team interaction focused on prioritization of modernization initiatives and data sharing across teamsProvide thought leadership on paths for innovation and automation for project team deliverablesProvide guidance to individual delivery teams of 5-15 personnel executing on both daily/weekly requirements as well as ad-hoc quick turn around tasksLead customer engagement to discuss needs, issues, and challenges faced by the clients and pathways to resolutionLead support to cross-discipline team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.Review project deliverables, including artifacts to ensure adherence to team compliance and quality standards.Provide oversight to data analytics and overall metrics effectiveness within project team as well as strategic leadership on metrics creation and deliveryDevelop, gather and disseminate information and documentation among both business and technical customers in support of the overall program.Establish effective project communication plans and ensure their execution.Work with all team members to analyze changes in requirements and recommend the most expedient solutions in a timely manner.Leverage advanced writing skills to translate complicated issues from multiple information sources into a clear point of view to create a compelling, concise, and well-written narrative.Leverage excellent presentation development skills to prepare meeting agendas and synthesize complex information into succinct visualizations using tools such as PowerPoint. Qualifications

 

Required Skills and Experience:

 

Bachelor’s Degree (or commensurate experience) 10+ years of experience work in dynamic customer delivery environments (2 years of experience may be removed for a masters degree)


Preferred Skills and Experience:

 

Experience working with ICE specific data and processesDirect experience management a program team of more than 5 personnelExcellent written and oral communication skills.Strong understanding in project management and data analysis.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.Ability to lead in an extremely fast-paced environment.Ability to foster collaborative relationships with other team and external stakeholders.Be flexible to change direction on a moment’s notice while also tracking/executing tasks in progress.Ability to think “outside of the box” while communicating or dealing with a variety of situations.Possess clear understanding of the activities, roles, and responsibilities on large scale IT projects.

Clearance Required:

Posted Pay Range

 

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
