**Deputy Project Leader - Atlanta, GA** ID **11930** Location **Atlanta, GA** Apply Now (https://phg.tbe.taleo.net/phg04/ats/careers/v2/applyRequisition?org=MCDEAN&cws=62&rid=11930) The **Deputy Project Leader** is a training position that consists of learning how to supervise and direct the employees on a particular project, prepare strategic plans and budgets, develop a comprehensive project plan, and analyze statistical data. + Run day-to-day operations of a project or sub-section of a project. + Meet project deadlines and submit required deliverables + Identify change orders and ensure effective resolution. + Price, track and manage change orders. + Plan and monitor cash flow against cash expenses. + Document project issues/conditions. + Plan and execute project completion and punch list. + Create Manpower projections to effectively track financial burn and labor needs + Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize organizing and accomplishing your work. + Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications. + Research and compile submittals; pricing change orders, Safety Plans and Project Schedules using MS Project. + Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems. + Communicate with people outside the Company, representing the Company to customers, the public, the government, and general contractor representatives. + Clearly understand the timeliness required for decision making, submission of RFIs, and documentation of all verbal conversations or agreements. **Requirements:** + Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information; **ability to obtain a** **DoD Secret clearance is required** + BS (Preferred EE or Industry related degree) with 5+ years of experience. + Related Construction experience with five years' working for an electrical or construction contractor. + Experience working on construction projects ranging from $100,000 to $1M. + Experience working with contract drawings, subcontracts, contract addendum's, specifications, change orders, RFIs, submittals. + Experience tracking and invoicing for labor, materials and ODC’s + Experience with Scheduling + Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in the production of precision technical plans, blueprints and drawings on projects. + Past project experience with large government/public facilities, parking decks, or airports. + Must have strong interpersonal and writing skills and be a problem owner/solver. + Proven ability to effectively plan and organize one's own activities or the activities of others. + Proficiency with Computers including MS Office, Blue Beam, MS Project, and PDF. + PMP preferred but not necessary. **Abilities:** + Exposure to computer screens for an extended period of time. + Sitting for extended periods of time. + Reach by extending hands or arms in any direction. + Have finger dexterity in order to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms, for example, using a keyboard. + Listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. + Communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand. + Read and understand information and ideas presented in writing. + Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense. + Identify and understand the speech of another person \#jc Applicants for this position may be required to obtain or provide proof of flu shots or of other vaccinations depending on customer requirements and nature of the position or demonstrate a valid basis for exception. **EOE Minorities/Females/Protected Veterans/Disabled** **VEVRAA Contractor**
