The Futures Sr. Analyst is primarily responsible for supporting the margin needs and transaction reconciliation resulting from futures trading working closely with our middle office, valuation and portfolio reconciliation teams while liaising daily with our counterparties. In their day-to-day responsibilities, the Futures Analyst will be responsible for assessing if margin calls need to be issued or accepted, determine eligible assets to deliver as margin and enter into margin transactions with counterparties while minimizing operational risk. The Futures Analyst will collaborate with both the front and middle office in the escalation and resolution of transaction breaks and margin issues and as well as with the technology team to support enhancements across applications. This position will report to the manager of the Futures Operations team within the Derivative Operations & Technology Department. In this role one should be familiar with various OTC derivative products, proficient with PC skills and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Daily Margining of assigned Agreements/RelationshipsContact counterparts to agree on margin calls within the prescribed time frameSettlement of margin in Support of Global clientsDaily reconciliations of futures transactionsReporting of margin activityPerforming FX, interest, fee and dividend transactionsAccount setup and maintenance, including onboardings and closures.Ad-hoc projects as neededParticipate in team projects to enhance workflow and support changes in industry regulations related to derivatives.Provide superior client service.What makes this role unique or interesting (if applicable)?

Job Qualifications (The ideal candidate should have the following):
The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in finance, economics or another relevant discipline from a recognized University with sound knowledge of Capital Markets. Preferred 1-3 years’ experience supporting middle office or collateral operations related to OTC and/or Listed Derivatives on the sell-side or buy-side is preferred, but not required.
Candidates should have a strong ability to work in a collaborative environment and to present results to both expert and non-expert audiences.
